Plans
for the coming year
Saturday
20th May 2006 (cont...)
17.30: Lucy by Ed Harris
An
exciting collaboration between leading youth arts organisations, National
Youth Theatre and squaremoon. Hysteria breeds
violence in this grotesque political farce. Poetic, vulgar and physical,
Lucy is a bold, brash and brazen depiction of modern Britain. Ed Harris
is a young playwright and poet based in Brighton. Winner of the 2005 Playwrights
Slam at Chichester Festival Theatre and shortlisted for the Old Vic, New
Voices 24 Hour Plays.
19.00:
Relax and unwind pre-party
Celebrating new writing at its very best with music by ROCAS (Alternative
taste) and hosted by 'The Waiters'...
20.00: Chef De Partie by Mark Wheatley
The thing about cooking is it attracts fringe elements - weirdos, coke-fiends,
loners, ex-cons, refugees, drunks and sluts. Mark Wheatley was the
principal writer for Complicite and has co-adapted many of their best-known
pieces.
21.30: Party continues until late with food, drink and
one of Brighton's top DJ in the bar area.
