LOOKING
FOR CHRISTIAN by
Craig Vaughan
First platformed
during TAB 1999 as a Bleeding
Chunk and workshopped and developed into a multimedia, full-length
work by TAB.
A girl searches to know who she really is;
but the closer she gets, the more she wants to be someone else M-
is that short for Megan, Margaret, Mathilda? She
can't remember. At least she knows that she is a nurse. But not only nurses
use syringes. She's definitely a mother. But mother's look after
their babies, don't they? And she must be a nice person because she can't
remember having done anything bad. Using raw, hard-hitting language and
a sensational mix of live performance and video, LOOKING FOR CHRISTIAN
is a fable for our time.
Beginning
at a smart christmas party and ending on a cold, stoney beach, this is
one festive season that M will never forget.
